Ace of Aces Medal
Awarded to members of the United Nations Space Command for having achieved twenty five wartime kills. Up to four additional Ace of Aces Medals are denoted by bars affixed to the ribbon area.
Bronze Star
Awarded to members of the UNSC armed forces for instances of "exceptional bravery under fire". Additional Bronze Stars are denoted by bronze bars affixed to the ribbon area.
Blaze
Awarded to members of the UNSC for instances of "conspicuous gallantry".
Century Award
Awarded to members of the UNSC for having achieved one hundred wartime kills.
Distinguished Service Cross
Awarded to members of the UNSC armed forces for "distinguished acts of heroism that do not merit the United Nations Space Command Medal of Honor but that involve exceptional risk of life".
Golden Sun
Awarded to members of the UNSC for "surviving the destruction of one's squad". The Golden Sun is awarded only once.
Gold Star
Awarded to members of the UNSC armed forces for instances of "exceptional bravery against hopeless odds". Additional Gold Stars are denoted by gold bars affixed to the ribbon area.
Purple Heart
Awarded to members of the UNSC armed forces who are killed or wounded while serving the military.
Silver Star
Awarded to members of the UNSC armed forces for instances of "exceptional bravery against overwhelming opposition". Additional Silver Stars are denoted by silver bars affixed to the ribbon area. A higher order, the Silver Star with Gold Wings, is also awarded.
United Nations Space Command Flying Cross
Awarded to members of the UNSC armed forces who distinguish themselves in combat in support of operations "by heroism or extraordinary achievement while participating in an fight".
United Nations Space Command Medal of Valor
Awarded to UNSC Spartans for instances of "an especially meritorious contribution to the security or national interests of the UNSC, or to galactic peace, or to cultural or other significant public or private endeavors."
United Nations Space Command Inter-Congressional Medal of Honor
Awarded to members of the UNSC armed forces for instances of "conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of life, above and beyond the call of duty." There is a separate UNSC Inter-Congressional Medal of Honor for each branch of the military. Often referred to as the "Pewter Planet".
Legion of Honour
Awarded to members of the UNSC armed forces for destroying an armed Covenant Corvette-class vessel in an official UNSC operation.
The Black Eagle of Courage
Awarded to members of the Spartan II program for "godly victory in the face of indeterminable odds".
Victoria Cross
Awarded to all UNSC armed forces who survived the Fall of Reach.
